I Sing Because I Am Happy
I made this piece hoping it brings you joy. Not just something to look at but something you feel. I wanted their smiles to be so contagious that your favorite song starts playing in your head the moment you see it. That the colors do something to your mood even when things feel heavy outside.
The world is in crisis. That's just true. But I wanted to make something that reaches into your inner world and finds the part of you that still has a reason to sing. Still has a reason to be happy.
This piece was inspired by an old hymn. I sing because I am happy, I sing because I am free. His eye is on the sparrow, and that's the reason why I sing. That's the feeling I was chasing. That specific kind of joy that doesn't come from circumstances. It just is.
