Live event painting · Oil pastel · Available worldwide
Live event painting, in oil pastel.
One of the only live event artists in the world working exclusively in oil pastel. A medium chosen for its richness, immediacy, and the way it captures light on skin.
Why oil pastel
Most live event painters work in acrylic. I work in oil pastel — one of the only live event artists doing this anywhere. The medium never fully dries. It stays alive the way the memory does. Think fine china: rare, deliberate, handled with care, and built to outlast everything disposable. That is what you are bringing into your home.

Frequently asked questions
What moment do you paint — ceremony or reception?
Your choice. Most clients choose the reception because it gives the most time and atmosphere to work with. We discuss this during our consultation and I will give my honest recommendation based on your specific event.
Will faces be recognizable?
Yes. I take reference photos throughout the event and spend additional studio time on facial likeness. The closer figures are to the center of the scene, the more detail they receive.
Oil pastel does not dry. Is that a problem?
No. It is actually what makes the medium special. The piece is carefully sleeved and packaged for transport immediately after the event. Studio finishing includes protective fixative application. Think of it like fine china — it requires care, which is exactly what makes it valuable.
When do I receive the finished piece?
Within 4 to 6 weeks of your event. Studio finishing takes time — I will not rush it. Delivery within 50 miles is included. Shipping and international delivery are arranged per order.
How much space do you need at the venue?
A 6 by 6 foot area is all I need. I bring everything — easel, materials, drop cloth. I just need to know where I am set up in advance so I can plan my sightlines.
Can guests watch and interact?
Yes — and they will. Watching a painting come to life is one of the most engaging things you can put at an event. Guests ask questions, come back to check progress, and often spend more time at the easel than anywhere else in the room.
Can you include someone who has passed or a pet?
Yes. Bring a photo and we will discuss it during consultation. This is one of the most meaningful things I get to do — including people who could not be there in person.
Do you travel internationally?
Yes. I am available worldwide. Travel costs including flights, hotel, and ground transport are included in a custom quote. Inquire early for international dates as availability fills quickly.
Do you paint corporate events and galas, not just weddings?
Absolutely. Corporate events, galas, fundraisers, brand activations, equestrian events — any event where a one of a kind original piece adds value. Custom quotes available for non wedding events.
What is your cancellation and backup policy?
The 50% deposit is non refundable but transferable to a new date within 12 months. In the rare event of an emergency on my end, I will do everything possible to find a qualified replacement and refund your deposit in full.
Do prints come with the package?
Not currently included, but archival prints can be added to any package. Inquire during consultation for pricing.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible. Peak season dates especially spring and fall fill 6 to 12 months out. For international events, inquire at least 6 months in advance.
